Shara Chalmers

Shara Lea Chalmers has vowed her life to love Jesus the way He deserves & be as close to Him as humanly possible, while loving others with nothing less than the very love of the Father. She loves preaching on passion for Jesus and has ministered in over 35 nations. Since 2001, Shara has served as a spiritual daughter in many global movements: She worked for Mike Bickle at IHOP-KC, traveled with the late prophetess Jill Austin, ran with Papa Lou Engle with The Call, was Heidi Baker’s personal assistant for five years, served on staff at Bethel TV for eight years, serves on Cindy Jacob’s GPC roundtable, and currently leads media at her home church in Catch the Fire Raleigh-Durham. She is also the Producer, Director and Writer for Iris Global Film's first feature length documentary "Compelled by Love.”  Just like Mel Gibson produced “The Passion,” The Chalmers burn to make movies that take people into an encounter with the heart of their Heavenly Father.  See her Film History.

Shara helped write Compelled by Love with Heidi Baker and is also featured on the film "Finger of God” and “Hope Has a Name.” She is so thankful to be married to the love of her life, Daniel Chalmers, with two perfect daughters in Raleigh, North Carolina.  She wants to love Jesus so lavishly that she takes an ocean of people home to heaven – so that the Lamb might receive the just reward of His sufferings.

Tineke Bouwman

Tineke Bouwman is the founder and forerunner of Lighthouse in Holland. She has a fire and a passion for Jesus that is contagious to the people around her. Having known Holy Spirit from a young age, she has come to walk with such a hunger for God and for seeing a generation transformed by Him. The life she carries is one of surrender and obedience to God. A lover of family, she began with the simple act of welcoming people into her home. This offer of love to people grew beyond a simple meal – into a home and refuge for youth and young adults. This act of kindness grew over the years to become what we know today as Family Home. Raising up a group of young adults to transform the nations – it didn’t end there. While all this was happening, God opened the doors for a prophetic movement that grew to include Family Church. As the years continued, God began to open the doors to travel and connect with ministries all over the world. A small girl from a small village – she couldn’t have imagined where God would bring her, or how He would use her – but her yes has brought them to where they are today.

Joan Hutter

Joan Hutter, founding director of Women Abide, a regional and global ministry based in Charlottesville, Virginia, loves the Lord and lives to carry His love to those around her. Her passion is to see women set free, healed, abiding in the love of the Lord, filled with His Spirit, carrying His Presence, equipped for His works, and living out the destiny God has burned into their hearts.

Why the Women Abide Conference?

Nicole Hilliard: “Encounter love. Encounter peace. Enter into the presence of the Lord and encounter the One who loves you without reserve. Encounter healing. Come enter in and find Him there waiting for you. Come to Women Abide and be found in Him.

The authenticity I have found in the women I met at Women Abide has been a doorway of healing for me. I have found Women Abide to be a place of healing and most importantly a place set apart where the Lord abides and restores.”

Sandra Emery: “I always look forward to the Women Abide conferences. There is joy in growing with friends who are hungry for revelation. The worship times are always rich and full of the presence of God. You will be encouraged in your faith and your desire for intimacy with Jesus will be stirred and grow.

When I first heard Joan talk about intimacy with the Lord and knowing his love for me, I wasn’t sure it was real. I wasn’t sure it was something that I could also experience. I’m so thankful that she has created a place for women to be in the presence of God with Leigh Ana’s beautiful music. Over this past year, I have experienced the intimacy and presence of God for myself in my own ‘secret place’ with Jesus. And it has truly enriched and changed my life. I am so very thankful.”

Erin Leaverton: “Women Abide is much more than a conference or a gathering of women. For me, it has been a place of encounter and a place of transformation. Jesus often asked, “What are you seeking?” As I stepped foot inside my first Women Abide conference, I was seeking to know what my Father has to say about me, and what He made me for. Joan and her team set the table for me to come, to meet with Him, and to discover exactly who He says I am and what He is calling me to do on this earth.

And now He is inviting you. So what are you seeking?

Jesus can answer that question anywhere and in any way, but there is something powerful about hearing His answer as you stand among sisters. So consider joining us as we encounter the Father’s heart, as He invites you to be with Him under an open heaven, for you to meet with the One who made you, the One who called you by name and held your destiny in his hands before He formed the stars.

Don’t miss this chance to come into his presence with sisters from across the region who love to worship and adore this glorious King of ours. He is worthy, and He says you are, too.”

Stephanie Park: “Friends and family, in the spring of 2020, I believe the Lord is inviting each of us to a place of greater intimacy and a refreshing. Just like the spring rain brings a renewal to the ground, the Lord desires to bring refreshing and renewal to the soil of your heart. As the dew of the morning settles on the grass, let the presence and peace of the Lord settle on your heart as you make space to sit before Him during Women Abide’s spring conference. Be refreshed. Be renewed. Connect with Him and with like-minded family in Christ. You won't regret making this time a priority.”

Emily Coleman: “The Women Abide conference has opened my eyes to what it means to actually have an abiding, dynamic relationship with Jesus. I’m learning to soak, to worship with my body through movement, to sit still and listen. Joan, the speakers/worship leaders and the women who attend have taught me what it means to know and love Jesus with my heart and emotions. These conferences have been the catalyst for me to learn how to enjoy His presence in my everyday life. He’s after much more than my intellect, sacrifices and good works. He wants me to actually enjoy Him, to have my heart wrapped up in Him!”

Barb Kellum: “Why a Women Abide conference? To be in His presence and be changed, healed, grow deeper understanding and revelation of the beauty and love of Jesus. To hear humble, dynamic speakers who can confirm or challenge where you are in your walk. To be refilled and encouraged to do more ministry in your own community.”

Joyce Washington: “I remember my first Women Abide conference and honestly things weren’t going that great in my life. I was in a desert place feeling very much alone, but on the outside no one knew. During the conference I encountered the love and presence of God that restored and refreshed me. No matter where you are in your life or what you are going through, you will leave having had an encounter with God. Come worship the Lord with women of all walks of life; be empowered, filled and released to impact your family, community, and walk in your divine purpose. I am grateful for WA and how God continues to use this ministry to transform my life and the lives of women across all denominations.”

Sharon Schroeder: “His Presence will be amazing, so if you are thirsting and hungering for a greater revelation of God’s intimate and personal love for you, join us as we worship together; you will be amazed at what He will do in your life. Women Abide is the most consistent and deepest well of God’s Presence that I know in the area.”
